Anna, I believe attending a conference for people who stutter (e.g., NSA or FRIENDS) is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in and learn from the stuttering community. If you are looking for funding to help you participate in a conference, Spero Stuttering offers Connect Scholarships for students. Participating in in-person and/or virtual events or support groups for people who stutter may also be helpful – several organizations offer these opportunities (e.g., NSA, FRIENDS, Spero Stuttering, Myspeech, just to name a few).
And in addition to Ana Paula’s recommendations my students always loved to meet people who stutter and be able to ask anything they want to know about stuttering first hand.
