INTERNATIONAL HUMAN LIBRARY
World Stuttering Network (WSN), Stuttering Scholarship Alliance (SSA), and Stamily are thrilled to celebrate the 22nd of October, International Stuttering Awareness Day (#ISAD2021), with an online Human Library.
This concept originated from a social experiment that has gained popularity across 50 countries and counting. “Listeners” will be put into a Zoom Room with a person who stutters or who has ties to the stuttering community (a parent of a child who stutters). Instead of borrowing a book from the Zoom library, the listener will “borrow” the person who stutters and listen to their story. The listener might even then become the sharer. After all, everyone has a story to tell! And one person’s vulnerability and willingness to share can empower others to follow suit.
If you want to join the Human Library, you have two possibilities :
October 22nd at 16:00-17:00 UTC: https://tinyurl.com/4xja6tw3
October 23rd at 0.00 am-1.00 am UTC: https://tinyurl.com/vj6ttdzh
We hope to see you then!

I’m so sorry I missed it myself, but what an amazing initiative! I truly hope this will be a first time of many. This is one of the reasons why I made my quote: “Sure I stutter, what are you good at?” As stuttering is surely something we’re good at. 😉
Keep talking
