Contrasting the Treatment of Neurogenic and Developmental Stuttering — 1 Comment

  1. Hi Colletteah,

This is un interesting question. Neurogenic stuttering is quite different from developmental. It can be really frustrate]ing if your speech changed all of a sudden. And often it is not just the only thing that changed in the person’s life. It is always important to find out what the client’s goals are. They might say they want to speak fluent again, but we never know if that will be the case.
Junozovic-Zunic and colleagues, Van Borsel and colleagues and They and colleagues wrote some articles about neurogenic stuttering. Those might help you to talk about the characteristics and help them understand and manage their changed life.
I hope this answer helps you.
