Simon NzingaAbout the Author:

My name is Simon Nzinga, and I go by the artist name Nzingaboy. I’m a 28-year-old songwriter and artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’m passionate about creating songs that resonate—whether listeners connect with my personal experiences or are simply looking for something real and different.

I’ve released music on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, and I regularly perform live. As a performer, I focus on building a strong connection with the audience, delivering energetic and memorable shows every time I step on stage. My performance at Sweden’s got talent became a breakthrough.

Outside of music, I’m also dedicated to raising awareness about stuttering a cause that’s very close to my heart. I’ve lived with a stutter since I was 8 years old, and I believe in using my voice, both literally and creatively, to inspire others and promote understanding.

This is the video I made about how I express myself through music. In this video I talk about how music transferred my Stuttering from Challenge into strength.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing and being vulnerable with your experiences. I am so happy that you have been able to find a passion in music. Music truly has a way of connecting all individuals. Your last words “believe in yourself and you will start to see change” are empowering! I wanted to ask, was there a specific moment or person in your life that evoked this new mentality?

    • Thank you, Gabrielamurillo! 😃🌍
Music really helped me step out of my comfort zone. 🎶

my answer to your question — yes, there was a specific moment. It was around 2011, when I joined a music community in my hometown in Sweden. I still remember the first time I walked into their music studio it was truly life-changing for me and gave me a new mentality:)

Also, my favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It’s about following your destiny, and it inspired me to pursue my music path, even though I have a stutter. 🌍

  8. Hej Simon

The first time I saw you on stage I knew I just had to meet you. And I’m so happy we did. I love your music, both the soft sounds that makes me relaxed, but also your energy with the upbeat songs that makes it impossible for me to sit still. But most of all I love how you make stuttering visible, audible, stuttering with pride. #TeamStamning

Keep stuttering with pride, also off stage, as you have no idea how much you have to give and how much you influence other PWS who are still trying to find their voice. You rock, my friend.
“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting”

    Warm hugs from your friend
