ISAD in Sweden
On or around the ISAD one of the local chapters of the Swedish Stuttering Association, Skaraborg, always hosts a full-day seminar, open to all. As we want to raise awareness about stuttering and our local support group, but also to show we have a lot of similar interests and needs with people who don’t stutter. The seminar is always free of costs and includes lunch and coffe/tea, to give everyone the opoortunity to join. During the pandemic we organised the seminar online, later on hybrid and now we’re back to in-person meetings.
This year we again have two invited guest. Barbro Olsson Eekenulv will teach us about the Alexander technique, a technique that teaches improved posture and movement. In the afternoon SLP Marja Ă–ller Darelid will teach us how to use our voices. We’re looking forward to an interesting day.
