ISAD In Poland
This year, a conference will be held on October 21 at the University of Silesia in Katowice to mark International Stuttering Awareness Day in Poland.
The conference will be free of charge and aims to raise awareness about stuttering and cluttering among parents, teachers, speech therapists, and university students.
The event will feature lectures on the experiences of people who stutter or clutter, research findings, and forms of support for children with stuttering in different countries.
Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to see the recording of “Unspoken”.
The conference is organized under a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science in cooperation with the University of Silesia, The International Cluttering Association, The Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation, and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
Following the conference, a new edition of LOGOLab workshops for children with stuttering and their parents will begin. More information on this form of support can be found at www.fcl.org.pl/logolab
The day after the conference there will be a workshop for speech therapists on diagnosis and therapy of stuttering in school-aged children. The attendees will learn about the most recent therapeutic approaches, as well as have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with adults who stutter.
